At the event, it was noted that our Azerbaijan has achieved great success as a result of the use of the information and communication technology in public administration and increasing transparency and citizen satisfaction. Earlier activities, based on open government principles, included ensuring access to information, increasing public participation and cooperation with civil society institutions. The New Action Plan on Promotion of Open Government for 2020-2022 also envisages issues such as prevention of corruption, provision of financial transparency, improvement of public services, simplification of access to information and others.
Moreover, participants exchanged views on the draft of the National Action Plan with the participation of relevant government agencies, civil society organizations and experts.
In the end, it was decided to submit the draft document to the relevant executive authority.
