Azerbaijani satellite launches broadcast of Turkish and Ukrainian TV channels
The Ukrainian State broadcasting company (UTR - Ukrainian Television and Radio) and the Turkish VTV Antalya TV channel have become available through the Azerbaijani Azerspace/Africasat-1a satellite, the Azerbaijani Ministry Communications and Information Technologies reported on Friday.
Over 50 TV channels are broadcasted via the satellite, around 8 of which are local (AzTV, ITV, CBC, Xəzər TV, ANS TV, Mədəniyyət TV, Idman Azərbaycan, Azad Azərbaycan TV).

The TV channels currently implement both standard and live broadcast via Azerspace/Africasat-1a satellite. Alongside with TV channels, radio channels are also broadcasted via the satellite.

The resources of the satellite are also focused on rendering VSAT-services and creation of secure data network of geographically remote offices of international companies.

Azerspace/Africasat-1a satellite is placed in the orbital position of 46 degrees east longitude.

To view television content custom satellite dishes must be configured as follows: Frequency - 11169 MHz, speed: 20400, polarization - Horizontal and FEC - 5/6.
