Nagorno-Karabakh must be returned to Azerbaijan – Iranian official

The Nagorno-Karabakh region must be returned to Azerbaijan, AzVision.az cited Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, as saying.

He expressed Iran’s support for the implementation of the relevant UN resolution on the liberation of occupied Nagorno-Karabakh.

The senior adviser reminded that a million Azerbaijan became refugees and IDPs in the wake of the conflict.

“Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs must return to their native lands after the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh,” Velayati added.
