Russian diplomat says issue of increasing number of peacekeepers in Karabakh ‘not on agenda’

Moscow hopes the ongoing developments and protests in Yerevan will not affect the implementation of an agreement signed by the Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders, said Russian Deputy Foreign Ministry Andrei Rudenko, AzVision.az reports.

Rudenko noted that the issue of increasing the number of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh is not being considered.

“The number of Russian peacekeepers is clearly defined in the trilateral statement. We are following the agreement. This issue is not on the agenda,” the diplomat added.
