22 Terrorist Cells eliminated in 2020 - Patrushev  

Law enforcement agencies of the CIS have eliminated 22 terrorist cells since the beginning of the year, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said at the meeting of CIS security council's secretaries, AzVision.az reports.

"In 2020, 22 cells of international terrorist organizations, whose participants recruited citizens of Russia and CIS and sent them to foreign training camps, have been destroyed in joint operations," Patrushev said .

Fight against new biological threats in the CIS, Afghanistan and Central Asia issues were discussed during the meeting.

Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Moldova and Turkmenistan were represented at the event.
