He noted that Muslims, Christians and Jews jointly commemorated the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War on a sad but glorious day.
"The Catholic Church in Azerbaijan expresses its gratitude to the Azerbaijani government, personally to President Ilham Aliyev, First Vice- President Mehriban Aliyeva, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazade and leaders of other religious communities for their exceptional role in preserving and strengthening people’s unity," said Vladimir Fekete.
Note, commemoration ceremonies of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War are being held today in mosques, churches and synagogues in all cities and regions of Azerbaijan.
