Armenian leader seeks to justify its militaristic policy
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has commented on a message of the Armenian leader on occasion of the so-called “independence day” of the break-away Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

“Millions of Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs were subject to bloody ethnic cleansing and were evicted from their historical lands due to this so-called “defending independence,” spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Elman Abdullayev said.

“It seems it is Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan who calls this “defending one`s independence,” he said.

Portraying occupation of Azerbaijan`s lands as “defending an independence”, Armenian leadership tries to justify its militaristic policy, he added.

“Determining borders already recognized by international community by force is unacceptable in today`s world,” Abdullayev said.

Abdullayev called the Armenian leadership to pay attention to documents adopted by the international community and decisions which describe Armenia as an aggressor and condemn it for the occupation of Azerbaijan`s lands.
