Ambassador: Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan
Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Ikramullah Mehsud said on Friday during an official reception on the Day of National Defense.
"A good example of warm relations between the states is their mutual support on issues of Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir," the Ambassador stressed.

Talking about the history of defense of Pakistan, he said that for the last 11 years Pakistan has been a state that was most affected by terrorism. "The fight against terrorism has caused very great damage to our economy and society. Along with the great financial damage, we have lost more than 50,000 Pakistanis," the diplomat said.

But these difficulties, according to the ambassador, in contrast, have only strengthened the country`s determination to fight against terrorism.

The event was attended by the ambassadors of foreign states in Azerbaijan, representatives of the public and the media.
