Turkey calls on Armenia to abandon hostility and look to future

The presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan took a constructive approach to bequeath peace to future generations and ushered in a new era based on stability and cooperation, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said at a Victory Day event in Baku on Monday, AzVision.az reports.

“We expect the Armenian authorities to abandon the current policy and take advantage of this historic opportunity, including our proposal for cooperation in the format of “3+3”,” the minister said.

Akar urged Armenia to abandon hostility and look to the future.

“Everyone should know that the future cannot be built on resentment and hatred. Armenia should abandon hostility and look to the future. We will continue our efforts to maintain peace, tranquility and stability in our region within our historical responsibility,” he added.
