We hope that the liberation of Karabakh will lead to peace in the region, head of the UK-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Bob Blackman told reporters.
"We saw the destruction of houses and buildings committed by Armenia in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. We saw all the empty houses that were once left by internally displaced persons. It is immediately clear that this all happened not overnight, but over many years," the British parliamentarian said.
Blackman also noted that Azerbaijan did not inflict damage to civil objects during the war.
Bob Blackman also congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the 30th anniversary of restoration of Independence and Victory Day and expressed hope for further development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom.
