Lukashenko assures Zelensky that Belarusian military won’t be used against Ukraine, says FM Kuleba

"Between this moment and the moment when the talks are over, president Lukashenko assured President Zelensky that the military forces of Belarus will not be used against Ukraine," Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.

Kuleba also estimated this as an achievement.

"This is already an achievement, and we can only hope that Alexander Lukashenko will keep his word," the minister said.

As reported, former minister of defense of Ukraine, head of the Center for Defense Strategies Andriy Zahorodniuk said that the self-proclaimed government of Belarus was most likely to decide on the participation of its armed forces in the war with Ukraine in the near future.

On February 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had held talks with Alexander Lukashenko.

Earlier, Lukashenko confirmed that missiles had been launched at military positions in Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.

Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. For the fourth day already, Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
