Chairman of Azerbaijani Supreme Court meets with German Ambassador 

President of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev has met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig.

President of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev has met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig.

At the meeting, the President of the Supreme Court emphasized the successful development of relations between the two countries. He cited the activities of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in many areas, especially in the field of justice.

The President of the Supreme Court provided information about the judicial system of Azerbaijan, the new structure and scope of activities of the Supreme Court.

He highlighted the measures taken in recent years to improve and modernize the judicial system in the country, as well as the tasks facing the Supreme Court in order to ensure justice and the rule of law.

President of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev stated that the latest information technologies, "Electronic Court" information system are used in the judicial system. Judicial selection procedures are conducted in accordance with new, modern standards.

Ambassador Wolfgang Manig stated that he is following with interest the work done in Azerbaijan and the ongoing judicial and legal reforms. He noted the importance of expanding relations to learn more about the existing legislation and legal system of Azerbaijan. The Ambassador highlighted the significance of relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that these ties would continue.

The sides also exchanged viewson issues of mutual interest.
