The necessary measures were taken last year to strengthen the defense capability and military power of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during a discussion of the Ministry Cabinet's report on activities in 2021 at a plenary session of the Parliament (Milli Majlis), AzVision.az reports.
Prime minister said that for this purpose new weapons and military equipment were purchased last year and the material and technical base of the Azerbaijani army was strengthened.
Important measures were taken to increase the professionalism of the army, in connection with which the creation of a command unit should be especially noted, he added.
