Plane crash in mountain near Lima kills three
A small plane with three people on board crashed on Wednesday afternoon into one of the mountains that surrounds the Peruvian capital, Lima, with all three dead, announced General Salvador Iglesias, the head of police for Lima.
According to the official, the three people that died in the crash have been identified as Julio Henry Gomez, Juan Leon Acosta and Miguel Angel Panduro.

Iglesias explained that the plane was travelling in a northward direction when it crashed in the hill in the district of Villa Maria del Triunfo. The belongings of the pilot included an ID card for Servicios Aereos Tarapoto, an airline located in the country`s northeastern Amazon region.

When rescue teams arrived to the zone of the crash, they encountered a tragic scene with the plane utterly destroyed and the remains of the three men among the wreckage.

Experts from the Peruvian airforce and officials from the country`s Public Ministry are leading a technical investigation to determine the causes of this deadly accident.
