Iran intends to open handicraft sales centers in Azerbaijan
Iran intends to open the handicraft sales centers, Bahman Namvar-Motlaq, the deputy head of Iran`s Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization said at a meeting with Azerbaijani ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov, the organization`s website says.
Motlaq stressed the importance of further developing the ties between Iran and Azerbaijan and called for assistance in the establishment of two centers for the sale of Iranian handicrafts in Azerbaijan.

"Iran and Azerbaijan have common culture,” Motlaq said. “So, there is a potential for broad cooperation in this field. Both countries can implement joint projects and establish the sale centers."

He stressed the possibility of joint production in sericulture.

"We hope that the groups of the two countries working in the field of applied art will be able to make mutual visits and strengthen the cooperation," he said.

The ambassador stressed the importance of publishing books, pamphlets and scientific works about handicrafts at the universities of Azerbaijan and Iran.

He also stressed that the mutual exhibitions in this field will play an important role.
