"100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life", published in Azerbaijani and English languages within the framework of the international project "Publication of books dedicated to the legacy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev" took place in the Swiss city of Geneva.

The presentation, held at the UN Office at Geneva, was jointly organized by the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, the United Nations Geneva Office, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UN Geneva Office and other international organizations, and the “My Azerbaijan” international magazine.
Director-General of the UN Office at Geneva Tatiana Valovaya, speaking at the presentation ceremony, shared her opinion on the special importance of Heydar Aliyev for UN-Azerbaijan relations, taking into account that this is the most influential and universal organization in the world, deeply and comprehensively analyzing the political events and processes taking place in the region, and first of all spoke about his efforts to represent Azerbaijan in international organizations.

Then Chef de Cabinet to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva and member of the editorial board of the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life” David Chikvaidze shared his impressions of his meetings with Heydar Aliyev, said that the world-famous politician Heydar Aliyev, as a wise state builder, with his skillful, sustainable and successful management and strategic activities, managed to strengthen the bright future of his country and people in the long term.
David Chikvaidze noted that he first visited Azerbaijan in December 1994 as part of a UN delegation to discuss the country's humanitarian needs in difficult times.

“The delegation was received by President Heydar Aliyev, who had just returned to power in order to save his country and bring it out of the deep crisis that it fell into after the collapse of the USSR. Heydar Aliyev personally greeted each member of the UN delegation. He deeply analyzed the situation in the country and spoke about the impact of the situation on the South Caucasus and all of Eurasia, and we were very impressed. We knew that he was not an ordinary politician, but an important figure in modern history,” Chikvaidze added.

Noting that the foundations of the state founded by Heydar Aliyev continue to strengthen under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Chikvaidze said: "Azerbaijan is also an active and constructive member of the UN."

Emil Nasirli, the author of the book "100 moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life", published in Azerbaijani and English, editor-in-chief of the "My Azerbaijan” international magazine, corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences, speaking at the award ceremony, said that the great leader Heydar Aliyev saved the country from danger collapse and made Azerbaijan one of the famous, steadily developing countries of the world. The meaningful life path, the rich and diverse heritage of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, who won immortality with his exceptional merits, is a school of inexhaustible examples.

The author Emil Nasirli speaking about the honorable life path of our Great Leader and his historical merits to our Motherland, noted that as a result of the far-sighted domestic and foreign policy of Heydar Aliyev during the years of leadership of Azerbaijan, the reputation of our country in the international world increased, comprehensive development was achieved, and our eternal and irreversible independence was secured.

Author Emil Nasirli, noting that the national leader was a very capable, extremely experienced head of state and a mature politician, said that the eldest son of Azerbaijan has always amazed people with his ability to successfully and with great skill to cope with difficult and complex tasks. The steps being taken towards expanding bilateral and multilateral political ties are of great importance in the systematic integration of our country into the world community. In this regard, the “Treaty of the Century” signed on September 20, 1994 on the exploitation of oil fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea gave a powerful impetus to deepening relations between our country and the countries of the world and strengthening its international positions. The “Treaty of the Century” and numerous oil contracts signed in subsequent years by Azerbaijan accelerated its integration into the world community. “The Baku International Conference on the restoration of the historical Great Silk Road, held on September 7-8, 1998, with the participation of representatives of 32 countries and 13 international organizations, and its results are one of the most important achievements of the foreign policy of Azerbaijan," Emil Nasirli said.

Later, the author Emil Nasirli giving extensive information about the book "100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life" published in Azerbaijani and English within the framework of the international project "Publishing books dedicated to the legacy of the great leader Heydar Aliyev", spoke about the unparalleled merits of the Great Leader, and spoke about a brilliant personality with a consideration of his activities, and described it as an amazing feeling that a person who loves his country immensely treats the history of his country and people with great love and respect.

At the beginning of the color edition, written in Azerbaijani and English and elegantly designed in a rare style, there is the text of the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan on declaring 2023 the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan in two languages. The articles and rare photographs in the publication, consisting of a table of contents, preface, introduction and bibliography, glorify the unparalleled merits of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the people, Motherland, country and state. The materials of the publication give the reader a real idea of the humane principles of the Great Leader.

The speeches emphasized that the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life” is one of the rare publications in terms of conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the world, as well as providing detailed information about the life and work of the world-famous politician and statesman Heydar Aliyev.

The first presentation of the book "100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life" took place on May 5 at the Ataturk Center in Baku. Presentations in foreign countries were held in Istanbul, Paris and the Swiss city of Geneva.
