OIC delegation visits Azerbaijan

A delegation of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has today visited Azerbaijan’s city of Ganja, AzVision.az reports. 

The delegation visited A. Rafibayli Street, and the destroyed area near the Victory Park to pay tribute to civilians who were killed as a result of Armenia`s rocket attack on Ganja during the Patriotic War.

The delegation was informed about the terror act committed against the residents of Ganja by Armenian armed forces. As a result of a total 5 missile attacks launched against Ganja in 2020, 26 people, including 6 children were killed and 175 people received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

The visit aims to investigate the facts of destructions of Azerbaijani religious and cultural monuments and graveyards on the ground, collect information about Azerbaijanis suffered as a result of Armenian occupation and rocket attacks, as well as prepare a report and communicate it to the international community.
