Moscow expresses extreme dissatisfaction with Armenian PM Pashinyan’s statements

Moscow is extremely dissatisfied with the statements voiced by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about Russia in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica and the commentary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on August 31, as their “tone is unacceptable,” a diplomatic source said, AzVision.az reports citing TASS.

The Armenian prime minister had voiced the possibility of Russia leaving the region.

“In fact, they are trying to artificially oust Russia from the South Caucasus, using Yerevan as a means to achieve this goal. Russia, as the closest neighbor and friend of Armenia, does not intend to leave the region. However, this should be a two-way street: Armenia, too, should not become an instrument of the West to squeeze out Russia,” the source said.
