Junior police sergeants - Eldar Rustamov (born on August 19, 1970), Faig Aghayev (born on June 6, 1969), who were sent to the Meshali police station from Aghdam, the servicemen of a military unit (former military unit #18110) of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Lieutenant Kamil Eyyubov (born on October 13, 1964) and soldier Musal Gonagov (born on July 9, 1961), as well as volunteer self-defense group fighter Tahir Azimov (born on June 28, 1961), were killed by Vagif Kachatryan and illegal Armenian armed groups for coming to the rescue of civilians from the siege in Meshali village on December 21, 1991.
