Martinique representative: We want France to face justice

“Today we are talking about injustice. In South America, in North America, in the Caribbean and in the United States we observe that the poorest people here are from Africa. Those people were deported to America. France does not want to deal with it. People are suffering here,” said Luc Francis Carole, representative of the Party for the Liberation of Martinique, PALIMA, as he addressed the international conference themed "Neo-colonialism: Violation of Human Rights and Injustice" held in Baku.

"90 percent of our products were taken to France and other countries. There, the agricultural policy is created in such a way that we cannot move freely. Colonialism also affects the cultural field. We want our language to be an official language on the same level as French, but they refuse it. At the same time, we want France to face justice. We want to gain independence. The liberation of Africa should be the focus of the whole world. The African diaspora should work actively," he added.

Emphasizing the importance of achieving independence, Luc Francis Carole noted that after all these they would be able to say that the colonialism is over.
