Azerbaijani MFA comments Armenian PM

The unfounded accusations voiced once again by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the government meeting on February 15 are aimed at creating tension in the region, AzVision.az reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

"First of all, it should be noted that evaluating the measures taken by our country in response to the injury of our serviceman as aggression is a falsification of facts. It is well known that the provocations by the Armenian side on February 12 disrupted the stability which had prevailed for almost five months, and the responsibility for this lies with the Armenian side.

At the same time, it would be useful to provide explanations as to why the Armenian Ministry of Defense hasn't yet fulfilled its promises to investigate the fact of the injury to the Azerbaijani serviceman, and also clarify on what basis mercenaries from various military groups are stationed at the border posts of the Armenian Ministry of Defense," the statement said.
