Azerbaijan warns of consequences from recent statements

During the meeting with Mevlud Çavuşoğlu, former Turkish Foreign Minister and current head of the Turkish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed concern regarding statements made by the European Parliament and the Council of Europe against Azerbaijan since September 2023, AzVision.az reports.

The President suggested these statements, along with perceived attempts to establish Armenia as a military presence in the South Caucasus, could have significant future repercussions. He added that Azerbaijan had issued warnings to its partners in the US and Europe regarding these concerns.

President Aliyev also emphasized the significance of the strong relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey, particularly in the current geopolitical climate. He expressed confidence that attempts to weaken this alliance would be unsuccessful.
