Diplomatic corps reps visit “Yukhari Vang” Hydroelectric Power Plant, Khudavang monastery in Kalbajar

Members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, along with heads of international organizations and military attachés, visited the “Yukhari Vang” Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Tartar river as part of their tour to Kalbajar, AzVision.az reports.

The delegation was accompanied by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.

The delegation received detailed information about the power station, including the involvement of foreign companies in its construction. It was noted that the plant, part of Azerbaijan’s post-Victory strategy to transform the liberated territories into a green energy zone, is the largest green energy source developed in the region.

Following their visit to the power plant, the diplomatic corps toured the Khudavang monastery complex, a world-renowned architectural monument located in Kalbajar district.
