The deputy chairmen of the parliamentary committees were chosen today at the inaugural session of the Azerbaijani Parliament (MP) of the VII convocation, AzVision.az reports.

According to the information, the following individuals have stepped up to the plate as deputy chairmen of parliamentary committees:

- Legal Policy and State Building Committee - Elshan Musayev

- Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption Committee - Gudrat Hasanguliyev

- Committee on Human Rights - Arzukhan Alizadeh

- Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology - Fatma Yildirim

- Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship - Azer Badamov

- Committee on Agrarian Policy - Razi Nurullayev

- Committee on Labor and Social Policy - Elshad Musayev

- Committee on Healthcare - Rashad Mahmudov

- Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs - Jala Aliyeva

- Youth and Sports Committee - Konul Nurullayeva

- Committee of Public Associations and Religious Organizations - Sahib Aliyev

- Committee on Regional Affairs - Nurlan Hasanov

- Committee for Science and Education - Fariz Ismayilov

- Committee on Culture - Gunay Efendiyeva

- Committee on International and Interparliamentary Relations - Nigar Arpadarai.

No note, extraordinary parliamentary elections were held in Azerbaijan on September 1.

A total of 112,749 local observers were registered to observe the elections. More than 65,000 of them were representatives of political parties. The number of registered international observers was 598, representing 51 organizations and 69 countries.

Out of 990 registered candidates in the parliamentary elections, 305 were representatives of 25 political parties. Although 371 candidates are members of political parties, they were not nominated by the parties to which they belong. In total, 676 candidates had political party affiliation. On 21 September, the Constitutional Court approved the election results.
