The 2nd Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Economic Forum co-organized by the Ministry of Economy and Azerbaijan`s Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) started in Baku.
Addressing the event, Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, noted that the 1st Azerbaijan-GCC Economic Forum was held in Baku in 2017.
"The today`s forum brought together about 400 representatives from two countries` different sectors. Up to now, the GCC countries invested 4 bln dollars to Azerbaijan's economy. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the GCC countries increased 2.5 times last year to stand at 175 million dollars," Yusif Abdullayev noted.
The forum featured discussions on cooperation in the renewable, clean energy, electricity and water fields with the Gulf countries, problems and opportunities in the transport and logistics sectors between GCC and Azerbaijan.
