Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport confirms AZAL complied with all pre-flight procedures.

The pre-flight preparation for departure was carried out in full by the captain and crew.

This information is included in the preliminary report published by Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport on the investigation of the Embraer 190 aircraft incident involving Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).

According to the report, the crew—comprising the aircraft's captain, co-pilot, senior flight attendant, and two cabin attendants—underwent a pre-flight medical examination at the medical facility of Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.

"Prior to departure, the aircraft was serviced by the technical staff of SILK WAY TECHNICS, with a DEPARTURE CHECK at 03:00, and accepted by the crew at 03:20," the report states.

The passenger aircraft belonging to AZAL, which was on a Baku-Grozny flight on December 25 last year, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau. Out of the 67 people on board, 38 died, and 29 survived.
