He added that among 20 regional countries, Iran stands fourth regarding business conditions.
“Measures taken in the past two years have lowered the corruption tolerance threshold, which means that there is transparency in the country and the atmosphere is suitable for trade relations with foreign companies,” he noted.
A special committee at the level of the heads of Iran’s three branches (legislative, executive, and judiciary) has been tasked with fighting economic crimes, according to the official.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Zamaninia pointed out that Iran will consider tax discount for companies working in remote and underdeveloped areas of the country.
He further noted that the Tehran Conference was made possible after Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) made their landmark deal.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), official name for the Iran nuclear deal, was struck on July 14. According to the deal, Iran is to be freed from international sanctions in return to limiting its nuclear program.
