The New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) held on Thursday a conference titled "For the sake of new goals" in Baku.
The conference was dedicated to the outcomes of the party’s activities in 2015.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary General and Deputy Chairman of YAP, Ali Ahmadov spoke about the work done in 2015 and the tasks ahead.

President of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, Deputy Chairman of YAP Akif Alizada, congratulating Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his birthday on behalf of scientists, said that Azerbaijan has passed a successful path of development.

Alizada said that it is impossible to make positive predictions for the future due to the ongoing developments in the world.

Like every state, Azerbaijan needs to set its internal resources in motion and steps are being taken in this direction under the president’s leadership, he said. “Azerbaijan has become an island of stability against the background of the ongoing process both in the region and world.

Alizada went on to add that the head of state has taken significant steps to develop science.

Significant achievements have been made in integration of science and education and e-science development, he said.

Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov in turn spoke about the progress made in agriculture under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev.
