The national weightlifting team of Azerbaijan took the second place by results of the European championship which ended in the Albanian capital, Tirana on Sunday.
By winning 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, our team lost only to Russia (7-3-1). Ukraine finished third (2-0-2).
Within the national team of Azerbaijan, Valentin Khristov (62 kg) and Intigam Zairov (94 kg) rose to the highest stage of pedestal of honor, silver is taken by Sylvia Angelova (48 kg) and Sardar Hasanov (69 kg) and bronze was taken by Zulfugar Suleymanov (62 kg).
