Nobel Peace Prize announced

Pakistan`s Malala Yousafzai and India`s Kailash Satyarthi were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee had received 278 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014. 47 of these were organizations. 278 is the highest number of candidates ever. The previous record was 259 from 2013.
