The Prosecutor General’s Office has clarified the reasons of a travel ban imposed on RFE/RL`s Azerbaijani Service correspondent Khadija Ismayilova.
Spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office Eldar Sultanov told AzVision.az that the travel ban imposed on Khadija Ismayilova is associated with the investigation of the criminal case by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
“There is a need for her testimony as a witness, as well as her participation in other investigative actions,” Sultanov said.
Ismayilova was not allowed to leave the country while she was intending to go the Czech Republic.
