The head of the Georgian National Agency for Food Zurab Chekurashvili and the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Sergey Dankvert agreed that Georgian producers will export fish, honey and meat to the Russian market.
On August 6 the Russian authorities restricted imports from the countries that imposed sanctions against the Russian companies and officials after the Crimea joined Russia and the beginning of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The Georgian authorities did not join the sanctions against Russia and expressed the desire to significantly increase the supplied products to the Russian market.
