Seyran Ohanyan addressed the issue when asked by a group of lawmakers why the country does not expand its geography of weapons suppliers to China or Israel. The question was asked at the hearing devoted to the US $200,000 worth Russian loan and Russia’s delay in providing the agreed weapons supply more than a year after signing deal, says the paper.
The minister reportedly gave the lawmakers to understand that Russia does not allow Armenia to buy arms and ammunition from any other country. According to the paper, he said that Armenia, which has always purchased weaponry from Russia, is not planning to revise that policy for now.
