First cruise ship leaves port of Batumi for first time in 30 years
On Dec.24, the first cruise ship ISABELLA 1 will go sailing from the port of Batumi for the first time in 30 years.
Presentation of a new tour package took place in the conference hall of the ship, which was attended by Chairman of Adjara government Archil Habadze, chairman of the Supreme Council Avtandil Beridze, the mayor of Batumi Giorgi Ermakov, members of the government.

“Today is an important day for our city,” Archil Habadze said at the presentation.

“It is known that tourism is the priority area for our region. Especially marine tourism is the priority. I want it very much that the people of our region, too, could start a sea voyage from the port of our city.”

He expressed confidence that thus, an old dream of the inhabitants of Batumi and Georgian citizens in general, would be realized.
