Iran`s nuke deal critic MPs demand air time from Iranian State TV
At least 30 Iranian conservative MPs have addressed a letter to Mohammad Sarafraz, the new head of Iran`s state radio and television broadcasting (IRIB), renewing their demand for an opportunity to have air time on television, to talk about the Geneva nuclear deal before the public, the official IRNA news agency reported Dec. 29.
Spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran`s Parliament, Hossein Naghavi Hosseini, who is among the mentioned MPs, said that the MPs previously asked the former IRIB head for air time, but the request was denied.

Hosseini added that the critics don’t try to sabotage the nuclear negotiations process, but they want to express their viewpoints.

The MPs have said that they are not against the negotiations, but argue that the results of the nuclear talks are against the Iranian people`s interests so far.

It should be noted that talks between Iran and the P5+1 group (the US, UK, France, Russia, China plus Germany) is extended until July 1, 2015 to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement.

After the sides failed to meet the 24 Nov. deadline they also extended the Geneva nuclear deal, which was signed in November 2013 for providing Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Tehran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities.

The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for medical researches instead.
