Moscow likely to act diplomatically if US aids Ukraine with weapons
Russian Security Council chief believes that Russia will be following along the diplomatic course even if the US begins to supply weapons to Ukraine
Moscow is likely to keep implying diplomatic efforts in regard to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine even if the United States starts supplying Russia’s eastern neighbor state with weapons, a senior Russian security official said on Tuesday.

"If they [the US] begin supplying weapons, the further escalation of the conflict will follow and it will be only deteriorating," Nikolay Patrushev, the chief of the Russian Security Council, said.

"But I believe that we [Russia] will be following along the diplomatic course," Patrushev told a news conference when asked whether Russia would render to retaliatory measures in case of US weapons supplies to Ukraine.
