Saakashvili to coordinate provision of weapons to Ukraine
The former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who had been appointed adjunct assistant to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he was going to coordinate the provision of weapons to Ukraine from countries of the West, he said speaking at one of Ukrainian TV channels, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
“Currently, the most important thing is to help Ukraine with weapon,” Saakashvili said. “I will be coordinating it during the next few days. I am not an employee of a specific office, I am a free politician.”

He will probably have an office in the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, travel around the country and beyond to address various issues, according to the politician.

The proposals to adopt Ukrainian citizenship “did not fit into the overall strategy,” said the former president of Georgia, assuring the audience that, nevertheless, “in this universal battle” he intends to be “just the same Ukrainian as everyone else.”

Petro Poroshenko signed a decree appointing Mikheil Saakashvili his adjunct assistant, as well as the decree on his appointment as chairman of the advisory international board of the reforms under President of Ukraine.

Last week, the former president of Georgia said on air at the Ukrainian TV channel that Ukrainian servicemen can “seize the whole Russia,” if they are given the necessary knowledge and weapons.
