“The General Secretariat underscored the need for all member states, including Qatar, to adhere to the principles of the OIC Charter, which calls for adhering to the policy of good neighborliness, respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of member states, and non-interference in their domestic affairs,” said the OIC.
The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen announced about severing their diplomatic relations with Qatar on the background of contradictions between the countries.
Bahrain gave Qatari diplomats 48 hours to leave its territory. Meanwhile, Manama suspended air and sea communication with Doha and banned citizens of Qatar from visiting Bahrain, and also prohibited its citizens to visit Qatar.
Qatar is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which, with the exception of Egypt, Yemen and Libya, includes the above-mentioned Arab countries.
OIC urges Qatar to honor agreements signed within GCC

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) told that the OIC called upon the State of Qatar to honor its previous commitments and agreements signed within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), particularly with regard to ceasing support for terrorist groups and their activities and ending media incitement.
