2018 will be the year of rapid economic development, president of Azerbaijan Ilham ALiyev said in the ceremony of launching a drinking water supply in the city of Gobustan.
He noted that the achievements in the economic field are reflected in both our statistical performances and the reports of the international organizations: “May be you have heard that Azerbaijan has moved up two spots to rank 35th in the Davos world Economic Forum. This is a great success. To note that Azerbaijan has been leader among the CIS countries for several years and is ahead of a few of development countries. There were some problems in the economy due to oil price in 2016 and 2017, however, we made reforms and Davos Forum highly appreciated Azerbaijan. This proves that we are pursuing right policy and our economic policy meet Azerbaijani people’s interests”.
