CIS summit kicks off in Sochi
The heads of state firstly had a meeting in a narrow format.
The sides will exchange views on key issues of cooperation within the CIS. The focus will be on increasing the effectiveness of the future activities of the organization, its executive structures and bodies.
A number of multilateral documents on enhancement of cooperation in the humanitarian, cultural, law enforcement and military spheres within the CIS will be signed at the summit. In addition, a statement on supporting the family institution and traditional family values will be adopted,
Following the summit, Tajikistan will take over the 2018 CIS presidency from Russia.
