Azerbaijan plans to increase expenditures for social security of refugees and internally displaced persons by almost twofold in 2018, said Azerbaijani Deputy Finance Minister Azer Bayramov at a joint meeting of five parliamentary committees to discuss the draft state budget on Nov. 13.
“It is planned to allocate 487 million manats for social security of refugees in 2018, 161 million manats or 49.5 percent more than in 2017,” said Bayramov.
He noted that these funds will also be used for social payments of this category of citizens, as well as for the construction of housing for refugees and IDPs.
