Gunfire at Middletown, New York, mall leaves 2 injured
A shooting reportedly took place at the Galleria at Crystal Run mall, located in the Wallkill town, at 15:15 local time [20:15 GMT], Sputnik reported.
The police of New York State have confirmed that two people were injured following a shooting at the mall in New York's Hudson Valley region, while some people were evacuated, local media reported on Monday.
One of the stores in the Mall has been evacuated, no arrests have been made and the police believe there is no active-shooter at the scene, the Hudson Valley News 12 media outlet reported, citing authorities.

Earlier, Dems in the US Senate introduced legislation to ban the sale of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines, according to Senator Dianne Feinstein's office. Feinstein acknowledged that the bill will not stop every mass shooting in the United States and the process to reduce the number of assault weapons in the country will be a long one.

The Dems decision comes after the latest deadly mass shooting when gunman Devin Kelley opened fire at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, killing 26 people and wounding 20, including a woman in her eighth month of pregnancy and a seven-year-old child.
