Over 300 servicemen detained in Turkey
As part of operations against the supporters of Fethullah Gulen, 360 people were detained in Turkey’s Istanbul, including 343 servicemen, the Turkish media reported Nov. 29.
Reportedly, 27 of the detainees are key figures in the Hizmet movement, which is led by Fethullah Gulen.

The names and positions of the detainees have not been disclosed.

On July 15, 2016, Turkish authorities said a military coup attempt took place in the country as a group of servicemen announced about transition of power to them. However, the rebelling servicemen started to surrender July 16 and Turkish authorities said the coup attempt failed.

More than 250 people were killed during the attempted coup.

Turkish authorities are accusing Fethullah Gulen, who lives in the United States, of supporting the attempted coup.
