Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has sent letters to the UN Secretary General, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in connection with the fate of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev illegally taken hostage by Armenian servicemen, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told a press conference on Monday, AzVision.az reports.
Hajiyev said that the Azerbaijani delegations to the OSCE and the Council of Europe brought to this issue into the agenda of these organizations and expressed Azerbaijan’s position.
He vowed that Azerbaijan will continue its political, legal and diplomatic efforts to release Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev.
