Born in Pennsylvania, Argenziano began his acting career in 1970 and starred in over 100 episodes of television across five decades. his appearances included Cheers, LA Law, ER and 24, but it was his role in Stargate SG-1 that earned Argenziano a cult following. He played General Jacob Carter in 25 episodes between the show’s second and eighth seasons. He was deemed one of the show’s best-loved recurring stars.
Argenziano regularly represented Stargate SG-1 at fan conventions around the world.
His film credits included The Godfather Part II, Jodie Foster drama The Accused and Gone in 60 Seconds. In Francis Ford Coppola’s oscar-winning sequel, he played a killer hired by Al Pacino’s character, Michael Corleone.
