Moldovan president call for peace between Armenia, Azerbaijan

Moldovan President Igor Dodon has appealed to the leadership of Armenia and Azerbaijan to cease hostilities, AzVision.az reports citing RIA Novosti.

Dodon expressed concern over the ongoing developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

“Both countries are friendly to Moldova, we have good contacts, including at the highest level. We call to stop the fire, we call for peace,” the president said.

Dodon also appealed to representatives of the Azerbaijani and Armenian diaspora organizations in Modlova.

“We are a state in which many nationalities live in peace, so I urge everyone to stay calm. We understand that the situation is not easy, but I am addressing you - dear Azerbaijanis and Armenians - do not transfer this conflict to the territory of Moldova, we should be calm - without protests and without destabilization,” the Moldovan leader added.
