Sargsyan meets with Russian ambassador to discuss Karabakh conflict

The third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan met with the Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergei Kopirkin. The meeting was initiated by Russia, AzVision.az reports citing the Russian media.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the escalation and large-scale military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Sargsyan informed the ambassador about the call to freeze the domestic political agenda and national consolidation. In addition, Sargsyan said there was no military solution to the problem.

In turn, Ambassador Kopirkin presented Russia's position on the speedy settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, both at the national level and within the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair.
