On March 5, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan commissioned a Military Hospital and a Fortification Engineering Center in the country’s Gubadli district liberated from the Armenian occupation.

The four-storey, 70-bed Military Hospital was created to provide highly qualified medical aid to servicemen, the State Border Service told AzVision.az.

The hospital is well-equipped, and all necessary conditions were created there.

After the brilliant victory in the 44-day Patriotic War that resulted in the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation and the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity, consistent and comprehensive measures are underway to create the necessary border defense and security infrastructure in these areas, and to improve the service, social and living conditions of servicemen, including medical care.

Within the framework of these measures, the State Border Service launched a vaccination for servicemen against the COVID-19 infection in the liberated territories. Nearly 100 servicemen were vaccinated on the first day.
