Russian peacekeepers blame Armenia for tension on border with Azerbaijan: newspaper

The recent personnel changes in the Armenian government show that acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is changing his foreign policy course, the Hraparak newspaper writes.

According to the newspaper, Pashinyan began to appoint anti-Russian people in key positions.

“Pashinyan dismisses pro-Russian officials such as Vagharshak Harutyunyan and appoints individuals controlled by Western centers and sometimes affiliated with the secret services of enemy states. Such behavior of our authorities does not escape the attention of Russian and pro-Russian circles, and the peacekeepers are talking about this. The Russian peacekeepers in Syunik [Zangazur] do not hide their dissatisfaction during talks with the Armenian population, stating that the Armenian authorities are to blame for the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which are doing everything to create the impression that Russia is not fulfilling its obligations. And this is done with the aim of bringing in Western troops,” Hraparak says.
