The United Kingdom is providing financial support to Azerbaijan through the United Nations in its demining efforts, UK Ambassador to Baku James Sharp wrote on Twitter, AzVision.az reports.
Sharp said he made a speech at an event on the topic of demining problems in Azerbaijan, which was organized by Links Europe non-governmental organization.
“The UK is providing financial support to Azerbaijan through the UN. British companies are world leaders in the field of mine clearance, and I’m satisfied with strong and developing ties with ANAMA,” the diplomat wrote.
